This has GOT to become a tradition!!!

Last summer, Aaron and I were able to get away for 24 hrs. to see "The Sound of Music" at the Boulder Dinner Theater. Yesterday we went to Denver and saw "Sweeney Todd," which is pretty much a polar-opposite to the Sound of Music. Instead of nuns and a love story, you have a deranged barber who kills his customers and uses them in meat pies. It was cool, though, even though the story is a little strange. One thing that impressed me about the cast was that they were also the orchestra. Each cast member played 1, 2, or 3 instruments, on-stage, when they weren't actively involved in the story.

The cast of Sweeney Todd:

We also got to do a little shopping, and just relaxing. I think this will become a summer tradition. Jennifer stayed with the kids, and they all seemed to do fine. Sonya has even gotten the potty-training thing pretty much down-pat. I was afraid she might regress while we were gone, but she seems to be doing even better. We should go away more often. We've been really blessed to have had several great babysitters these past few years. Unfortunately, 3 of them just graduated.

Anyway, it's good to be home, and to see the kids again. We'll be leaving again on Sunday to go to Colorado to see Aaron's sister and her family, so we're not home for long!

Sounds like a fun is good to get away from the kids once in awhile.

I agree! Every parent needs that little alone time with thier spouse. And a little side note...
At first glance, I thought it was Aaron in the back right. But that was only at first glance. =D
