O, Christmas Tree
A couple of days ago, Paul informed me that he was the ONLY person in his class who didn't have their tree up yet. C'mon people--it's still November! But anyway, we did the deed tonight. Paul decorated, Miranda talked and decorated herself, Sonya un-decorated, and Olivia played with the ornaments. She was having them talk to each other. In fact, right now she's playing with a nativity set, and making up songs about Baby Jesus. It's rather entertaining.

When my big kids were the babies...
I don't have a scanner, but I decided to post these anyway, just by taking pictures of the pictures. As you'll notice, the dress Miranda is wearing in the top picture is the one that she was wearing as a shirt a few weeks ago!! Olivia and Sonya are almost the ages of Paul and Miranda in the top picture.
2001--Paul was almost 4, Miranda was 2 1/2
2002--one year later; they really looked loving, didn't they?! This picture hangs on the wall as a reminder that Paul once sort of hugged her.

Turkey Day
We went to CO to visit Aaron's sister and her family for Thanksgiving. We had a great time. I need one more day of vacation, however, before I head back to the reality of school and piano lessons tomorrow. Oh well....Christmas is only a month away!

Happy Birthday, Papa Con!
My dad turned 66 today. When I was talking to him on the phone, we realized that he's twice my age. I certainly hope I have his energy and motivation 33 years from now! I don't have it now, so maybe I'll have it then! We love you!

An uneventful week
I honestly couldn't think of much to write this week. Olivia went to Garrett's birthday party today, but that was about it. I guess having an uneventful week isn't always so bad. I'm pretty sure things will be crazy until Christmas, so I should probably enjoy this while it lasts!

This was tonight's game--Livvy pulled Sonya around in a box. Oh, what you do for entertainment sometimes, especially when you're not exactly living in a metropolis!

Banana Splits
We had a lot of bananas we needed to use. The original Sara Lee would have baked up some banana bread, muffins, or whatever, but this Sara Lee decided to make banana splits, which was more fun.
Livvy dove right in.
Messy, but satisfying
That was a big bite!
Miranda was torked because Dad put pineapple on it, so you're seeing her pouty side (thankfully, this is rare)

My friend Mary Jo came down from where she lives so Renee could take some pictures of her pregnant belly (along with her boys). So Tiffany and I got to go out to Renee's and spend some time with her and Renee. It was a fun afternoon, catching up, and watching our kids play together.

Trick-or-treat, smell my feet
I had to include this picture of Miranda. A few days ago she came downstairs from her room and said, "Hey, mom, I found a new shirt in my closet (I thought I had cleaned her closet better than that)." I was like, "That's a dress you wore when you were about Sonya's age." I looked at the tag and saw that it said 3T. I have a professional picture of her and Paul where she was wearing it when she was 2 1/2. I don't have a scanner, otherwise I'd put that picture on my blog! Guess Sonya has a "new" dress to wear!
Miranda, the ballerina. Paul and Miranda's school had a little parade downtown.
Obviously, Paul was a mummy. Just putting this costume on was a production in itself. We should have just rolled him up in TP!
I did Miranda's class party, so this is when it was almost over. We did a couple of crafts. I had a game prepared, also, but we ran out of time. They were so into the crafts that I don't think they cared. Thanks, Oriental Trading Company. You're a lifesaver for the non-crafty people like me.
I don't have pictures of Olivia and Sonya. It was a really busy day and it just didn't happen. Olivia was Snow White, which I've already posted pictures of, and Sonya was a very low-energy pink poodle, which I've also posted a picture of before. She wasn't feeling well, so as we drove around to trick-or-treat, she just stayed with me in the van and didn't say a single word.
