The big night....The Newsboys!
A group of 13 of us from church went to a Newsboys concert in Denver last night. It was really fun. First, we spent a few hours at the Flatiron Crossing Mall, much to Aaron's chagrin. He and Paul were the only males on the trip, so they just kind of had to go with the flow and endure this part of the trip. Aaron's question to me about the mall was, "How many clothing stores does a mall need?" Anyway, shopping was fun, the concert was awesome, and the drive was....long. We got home at 2:30 in the morning. As you'll see from the next pictures, we had an Easter program at church, which I directed, so staying in Denver wasn't an option. You only live once, right??!!
The pictures that I took during the concert really didn't turn out very well. We were fairly far back, although there were big screens that you could watch. Paul and I went down to the floor section for a while. It was soooo loud there, and since everyone was standing, of course, and since I'm only 5'4", and he's only, well, 9 yrs. old, we couldn't see much except the people in front of us jumping up and down. By the way, when I was down in the floor section, I saw an older couple (I hesitate to say what I mean by "older" because some of my best friends are "older" :-), jumping up and down, waving their arms, etc....generally behaving like teenagers. I thought to myself, "that's what I want to be like when I'm "older." I truly hope that I'm still going to concerts like this when I'm "older." Remind me, though, to turn down my hearing aids when that time comes! :-)
